A Place Where Theatre Inspires Growth, Wonder, and Confidence
Since its inception in 2013 by Director Sonya Henning, Emerging Artists Musical Theatre Academy has been dedicated to fostering the development of each child's unique talent, inspiring a sense of wonder by infusing technique in the fun. Our instructors have led thousands of students in various aspects of theatre education, honoring those who enjoy the spotlight, while lifting up those who prefer to be behind-the-scenes.
EAMTA's philosophy is rooted in the age-old art of storytelling, and how it connects us all. We believe the study of this art form in its performance construct builds empathy and a stronger sense of self.
Theatre experience teaches tools for a lifetime...whether they'll be put to use in a board room, or on Broadway! It is of the utmost importance that every child gets the opportunity to be involved, and develop respect for the performing arts.
Our Mission is to provide students of all ages with a knowledge of theatre, movement, and musicality, as well as production and performance technique in an established environment that cultivates self-expression and self-discovery. Our instructors work passionately to encourage well-rounded artists who, through performance and dance, are inspired to explore and nurture the creative spirit inherent in all of us!
